Organic Wholegrain Buckwheat Flour: Buckwheat is an ancient gluten-free grain (actually it is a seed) and has no relation to wheat whatsoever. It is a suitable substitute for grains for people who are celiac or sensitive to wheat and gluten. Our unrefined flour is Canadian grown in farms from Ontario, Quebec and New Brunswick. Buckwheat is one of the healthiest flours due to the presence of rutin, a flavonoid with antioxidant properties.
Expeller Pressed Canola Oil: Our non-GMO Expeller-pressed canola oil is derived from the centuries-old technique of simply mechanically pressing the seeds to extract the oil, rather than using solvents (as many others do) to extract the oil. Canola oil has the least saturated fat of any culinary oil. It has high levels of heart-healthy monounsaturated fatty acids, which lower bad cholesterol.
Free-run Eggs: Our eggs come from hens raised in wide open barns. These barns offer the hens more space, good nutrition and a constant supply of water. This reduces the use of medications and antibiotics in the virtually zero on most free-run farms.
Coconut: Our shredded coconut comes from quality coconuts without the addition of sulphites to preserve it. Coconut is high in dietary fiber and low on the glycemic index.
Pure Bourbon Vanilla: Our vanilla is made from premium, hand-selected beans cultivated on the Bourbon Island of Madagascar. They are cold extracted and processed to gently draw out and preserve the vanilla's alluring flavour.
Chocolate Chips: We use premium chocolate chips. Our chocolate is made in the old fashioned way with just 3 ingredients; chocolate, cocoa butter and cane sugar. It is not made with stabilizers and additives such as soy lecithin or dextrose.
Pumpkin seeds: An excellent source of vitamin E, rich in dietary fibre, packed with important B-Complex vitamins and naturally gluten free.
